Pale di San Martino

San Martino di Castrozza, Passo Rolle, Primiero, Vanoi and Sagron Mis are located in the heart of the Dolomites, a Unesco site, at the foot of the Pale di San Martino Massif, in eastern Trentino, confining with Valli di Fiemme and Val di Fassa and just two steps away from the Veneto region. This tourism-oriented area offers ideal made to measure holiday venues. The altitudes vary from the 650 to 1200 metres a.s.l. of the valley bottom towns and of Val Canali, up to the 1450 m of San Martino di Castrozza and the 2000 m of Passo Rolle. Access to the more famous peaks is ensured via the lift systems, allowing for excursions in summer and all ski-based sports in winter.

The climate at the various altitudes provides cool temperatures in the hottest months and abundant snow in winter, all of which brought in by the magic colours of spring and autumn. The environment is safeguarded by its being part of the Parco Naturale Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Nature Park, that has its main offices in the lovely Val Canali and continues its century-old tradition of respect and protection of the eco-systems and their inhabitants who in the past were prevailingly farmers, forest workers and miners and whose activities have left abundant attractions in the area. The area is also the subject of a green policy known as “green way Primiero” aimed at creating a valley with close to zero environmental impact via the use of environmentally sustainable transportation and hydrogen buses, electric car charging stations, biomass district heating system and renewable energy sources. There are also projects of excellence such as Transacqua Comune Fiorito, Mezzano, one of the Borghi più belli d’Italia (Italy’s most beautiful towns) and Sagron Mis with cutting edge projects such as the T3 observation tower and the tree-houses of the future on and among the trees that allow Nature and Man to live together in perfect harmony and provide exclusive holidays featuring low environmental impact.

The Pale di San Martino

Majestic and elegant mountains of coral that tower monumentally over the surrounding landscape and yet blush like young lovers at sunset... these are the Pale di San Martino.
Their geologic history starts 300 million years ago: in a calm and shallow sea, huge coral colonies developed to create enormous reefs over a thousand metres high. After surfacing out of the water, these coral reefs were weathered by the elements and shaped into the pointed and sharp structures that mark the landscape today. [more]

The Lagorai Range

In front of the dolomitic group of the Pale di San Martino, the easternmost slopes of the Lagorai range stand out. This vast mountain chain, made of volcanic rock (mainly porphyry, except for the granitic massif of Cima d’Asta) still harbours unspoilt landscapes that are a great attraction to wilderness lovers.
The almost complete absence of human settlements gives these mountains a captivating aura, [more]

The Vette Feltrine

The long mountain range that escalates into the spectacular pyramid shape of Mount Pavione is called the Vette Feltrine range. This chain of mountains divides our territory from the adjoining Feltre area, marking the natural border between the two regions of Trentino and Veneto and the two provinces of Trento and Belluno. From west to east, the Vallazza, Pavione, Col di Luna, Cima Dodici, Pietena and Ramezza peaks are higher than two thousand metres above sea level and constitute the unconditionally dominating natural barrier of Val Noana. They would hermetically close in Val di primiero in the south if it weren’t for the narrow Schener gorge eroded through the millennia by the Cismon stream. [more]
