The visitor center is a complex of three buildings—the villa itself, a small church, and a barn—surrounded by a garden and set on the edge of a large pasture that gently merges into a small but fascinating peat bog. The theme chosen for this visitor center is the mountain aquatic environment.

The villa hosts a modern and well-structured visitor center featuring four exhibition rooms, designed as a four-stage journey of discovery through the park. There is also a fisioteca (a collection of natural specimens), a library/reading room, a video room, and a lab classroom for educational activities.

Located a short distance from Lake Forte Buso, along State Road 50 from Predazzo to Passo Rolle, the new Paneveggio Center tells the story of the great spruce forest, famously known as the Forest of Violins for its resonant spruce trees once used by master violin makers. It also features the woodland animals, with special focus on the capercaillie and the red deer. Not far from the center, a large enclosure allows visitors to observe a group of these majestic animals up close. A nature trail with guided and illustrated observation points starts right at the center.

Small overall, but interesting, the exhibition focuses on the high mountain environment and the geology of the Dolomites—an undeniable highlight—as well as the golden eagle, which inhabits the Pale di San Martino and Lagorai ranges. Visitors can explore natural aspects linked to the climate by observing rock temperature monitoring systems based on exposure, and systems used to assess the impact of tree vegetation on temperature. Outside, a small pond and a rock garden enhance the experience of this center.
