The Visitors Centres

The complex comprises three buildings - the villa, the church and the barn - surrounded by, or rather immersed in, a garden adjoining a large grassland, which tapers down to become a small but interesting peat bog. Aquatic mountain environments are the underlying theme of the Visitor Centre.
The Villa hosts a modern and well-structured Visitor Centre with four display rooms in which a virtual journey through the park is developed in four stages: a collection of natural finds, a library, a small video-projection room and a room for educational activities.

Opening times:

• From April 25th to 28th, May 1st 
• Every weekend in May 
• Every day from June 1st to September 29th 
• Every weekend in October 
• From November 1st to 3rd

• Open from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
• From July 1st to September 15th, open continuously from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

• Outside of the specified days, the center is open for visits from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, coinciding with the opening hours of the administrative offices of the institution.

This is a small but interesting information centre which describes high mountain environments and the geology of the Dolomites, certainly the focus of the display, as well as giving information about eagles, which are at home in the Pale di San Martino and in the Lagorai range. In-depth information is given about naturalistic aspects concerning the climate, through devices that measure the temperature of the rocks depending on their exposure and other instruments that determine the influence of tree-cover on temperature. A small pond and a rock garden outside complete the visit to this centre.
